    What was the best moment in the Olympics?

    To name a few:
    Kelly Holmes winning 800m or 1500m.
    Xiang Liu winning 110m hurdles.
    Pieter van den Hoogenband beating Ian Thorpe in the 100m freestyle swimming.
    Iraq beating Portugal.
    Mario Kindelan winning a gold in boxing.
    Lithuania beating the 'Dream Team' (USA) in basketball.
    Cian O'Connor winning Gold for Ireland in show Jumping.

    the best moment IMO was the <21 year old?> China man - Xiang Liu winning the 110 hurdles and equalling hurdles record.

    there was the south africans winning (completely owning) the swimming relay as well, when everyone thought it would be either the states or Oz.

    There was a tonne of fantastic performances in the athletics events but my own standout is watching a 20 year old American, Jeremy Wariner, run a super-smooth 44.00 to win the Men's 400m.

    Kelly Holmes double for me plus Cian O'Conner and the 4x100 metres relay. I love it when the Yanks mess up a baton change! :) Sorry...
