If so can you tell me if the service was acceptable or downright disgusting?

    Thanks

    Thanks

Service has been impeccable every time. I've ordered from them five times or so over the last 2 years.

Read the sticky on computer stores for my account of things. Service I got was the pits, they never shipped anything never had it in stock (despite what their site says), charged my card anyway and refunded me 40 euros short. They're refusing to refund that money.

i dont have a problem with overclockers for buying stuff and delivery (most of the time)

unless you want to return something..its like getting blood from a stone, worse customer support ive encountered

could just be me though

I love em. I always go with em if i can.
I've once had to return em a motherboard, while i cant remember how long it took i got a replacement and a detailed sheet saying what was wrong with the old one. In hindsight i think i ****ed it up :p
Delivery is usually quite good (used to be dhl but i still havent had a problem with their new system (gls?)).

Overall im very happy, one thing i would say is that they dont always answer what you asked (as has been said).

Ordered 2 or 3 times in the past year.
On one occasion the part I was looking for took a while to come back into stock, and I had to chase them up to send the full order when it got in. However they were very helpful when I phoned them.

The other 2 orders went fine.

When I broke the plastic heatsink clamp off my motherboard, they kindly sent a new one for free the next day.

    Overall I would recommend them.

I've heard very bad reports about them, and now I tend to avoid them.

But my own experience with them has been grand. I ordered a DVD-recorder abouta year ago and it arrived in time, with no problems at all.

Although if you do have to return something, their customer service doesn't sound too helpful.

I've never had problems with them (just GLS) but any company with alot of customers is bound to have bad experiences and mistakes.

In all I've made 3 orders with them but one time I ordered a graphics card off them, ended up returning it due to false advertising. They said it was a full retail ATI sapphire card ended up as a lite version. Had major problems trying to return the item but in the end got my money back.

Cheers lads. It's really a case of if the system works you are ok but if it all goes a bit pete tong you're fcuked.

Unfortunately in my case, a part was out of stock then came back in, then shipped on a Tuesday for delivery on a Wednesday by ParcelForce/GLS but alas still in the PF stoke depot which is p1ssing me off as PF is their problem not mine. Will post an update to this when it happens.

i've ordered about 2k of stuff from them and always received it within 2 days

I'm surprised at the negative accounts posted here really... it's practically the only UK retailer I ever buy stuff off and I have ordered over 12 times in the last two years from them. Not a single problem and 4 working days tops for delivery with every order (I've never paid extra for express).

I only ever had a faulty product once (1 of 2 hard drives I ordered was totalled during transit apparently) and they were very quick in giving me an RMA number and arranging the replacement.

Had absolutely no problems at all. Myself and different mates have order about 8 times and had no problems.

I had an atrocious experience with them, took nearly 6 months to get a refund from them, and involved sending letters to the MD via registered post. Avoid.

There's some horror stories over on romulus2.com if you fancy some light reading. some good reports too. It seem like they're fine once everyting goes to plan but nce something goes wrong, they're awful.

http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/cityofstoke/index.htm is their local trading standards.

If you ever have a problem with an online company - call your credit card company and tell them you have no goods yet the money has been taken. You will get a refund pretty quick!

They are pretty good, a little too slow though, now I get all my stuff from http://www.scan.co.uk they are very fast, very cheap.

Used OcUK for a few years but stopped after I had huge problems with returns and the last few deliveries I had. Would be wary of dealing with them now. I'd only buy low value, non essential items from them now. Scan used to be attrocious for returns.

Used them for 4 orders in the past year -- no problems, top-notch service everytime. Had a faulty MX510 I had to return to them also -- no problem there with the RMA. No beef here, have found them to be very good all around and will continue using them until that changes.

Ordered of them twice fast delivery and have a wide stock range. However they do have a stock problem especially for popular heatsinks(thermalright) and cpus.

ive ordered about 4 times from them, and the service has always been excellent, and the staff are helpfull with any email queries

Had an e-mail yesterday aplogising on behalf of ParcelForce. I promptly told him that if he is going to bother apologising to do so on behalf of OC as PF is their problem not mine.

Today is when I expect to get some form of answer as what I got yesterday was BS. I've given them until Thursday to sort it out before I ask for a refund which if it is not forthcoming then it's onto the card company plus trading standards and small claims court if necessary.

Personally I'll never touch them again and will never suggest them to a mate.

I never really had problems with them, they once send me the wrong CPU fan but they refunded my return shipping and quickly sent me out the correct item

For the above matter e-mails did'ent get anywhere so I had to actually phone them.
In saying that though overall I've ordered well over 1500 worth of stuff more or less without issue and I'll still use the company to buy items.

    [edit]
Guvnor, when did you first place your order, I can't actually see a reference to when you ordered from OCuk

Ordered on the 18th of August and was hoping for a UK delivery by the 20th but at the case was out of stock I said I would wait and have order sent to eire for 6.95 extra. The order was shipped on the 24th and it should have arrived on the 26th as I assume it was sent with PF's 48 hour service. No light visible at the end of the tunnel yet!
