Insuring a laptop

Just wondering if many people insure their laptops. I bought a new one not so long ago for a bit over ?2k, and as i'm heading back to college next month i thought getting it insured would be a good idea.
Has anyone got any idea how much it'll cost? I suppose coverage against theft is the main thing. Accidental damage is always a plus but I'm pretty careful with my belongings. But accidents do happen! Also i presume I can't put it on our home policy as I won't be living there...

    Thanks.

This has been discussed before. You can only insure a laptop as part of house contents, which means you have to be the house owner. Generally this doesn;t cover business use, or outside of the house. At least thats what my insurance company told me. Alternatively the only other way to insure it is through a business. If you are not a homeowner and don't have access to a business then you can't insure it. Pants isn't it.
