security at concerts

    does anybody know how to become a security guard at concerts? like what company are they, how to contact them etc.

    Afaik its to do with the promoters. MCD, Aiken etc...

    After having done the job a few times, I would recommend against it. Crap pay, worse hours (you try multiple 16 hour shifts on 3 hours sleep for just above minimum wage), and you get treated as even more insignificant and worthless than regular security by the fools you have to deal with. It can be dangerous. And don't buy the crap about getting to see loads of bands. You'll most likely be stuck at the far end of the park, out of earshot of the stage, with no break. Even if you do get to work near the stage, you'll be too busy dealing with all the other crap that goes on to pay any attention to a band.

    Try Event Guard or join the Garda as there seems to be more of them around these days then regular security.
