just a quick question to you kind folk on the board. sorry if this question is not the brightest but i was just wondering is it possible for a person to have two seperate insurance policies on two different cars by two different companies?cant afford my own policy and the aul boy drives a civic vti so not a chance in gods balls of me getting insured on that. if he was to get another more reasonable automobile, get insured on that and throw me on as a named driver would that work?
    cheers
PS. ITS NOT FOR A RS FIESTA ;)

Yes, it is allowed but as he is continuing policy #1 which has years no claims then policy #2 would have a 0 years no claims bonus and therefore be more expensive. then add on the cost of another car's tax, maintenance, etc.
It isn't likely to be much cheaper on an annual basis.
