Ok I've had a couple of niggling problems with my pc that I want to fix.

Firts of all I have a Dvd/r/rw/cd/r/rw all in one combo drive.

For some reason in my computer it detects two drives. It detects D as a dvd-rw deive and E as a dvd drive despite the fact I have only one drive. Also when I put a dvd-r in it detects it as a cd. Driving me nuts.

The second problem was caused by cs-source crashing. My task manager now has no tab at the top for me to switch between options. Anyone have any ideas on how to restore this?

What's the drive? Did you try moving it around - primary, secondary master/slave?

if u mean no tab...as in no file/options//view at the top and no applications processes..performance etc etc at the top...if i got it right you just need to double click somewhere in the outer bit and it all comes back down at the top again..well that fixes mine ..if it ever goes

Have you installed alchool or simular copying software? I know alchool creates a fake DVD drive that shows up, sounds like it might be the problem.

Not sure about the DVD-R thing.

One question i have is where is the "lock computer" button that i liked so much on Win2k..... it doesent seem to be there on XP. Havent done any real looking or anything.

Ok cheers I got the task manager problem solved. That worked.

Loki yeah I have alcohol 120 installed. So if I delete that it should go? I don't even use it.

Yea if you delete alcohol it should go away or you can turn off virtual drive in alcohols option menu.
