Recylcing Old Monitor?

Dont know if this is right forum but can anyone help? Have an old 19" monitor thats dead and buried but clueless as to where i can be rid of it. Any ideas or should i head to a quiet country lane at night and dump it. Thanks for any advice. Cork City area btw.

when you say dead, do you mean just not working at all..
