    lo all,

i am heading over to Bulgaria in September with a few mates for a week, the plan is to fly into Sofia and take bus/train across the country to the Black sea. The cheapest return flight I can find is €380 incl taxes Dublin/Sofia, is this reasonable? or should I continue to shop around?

Also, anybody got any tips on making the best of Bulgaria on a shoestring budget. I know the weather will be good, so I can sleep in a tent, and Bulgaria is relatively cheap anyway.

Any tips on must see places, things to do?

    TIA for any advice

So I take it then that nobody here knows anything about Bulgaria

Cheapest fare I can see is 320+tax .. on Czech Air via Prague ... whether it's available or not on the days you want to go is another story .. best check with them perhaps.

There are fares of €179+tax from London .. so it might be well worth buying a ticket from London and getting a chaapy Dublin-London ticket

'fraid I know nothing about Bulgaria though so can't help you there.

Cheers EvilDoctorK, what airline & London airport did you find offering fares of €179+tax

€179+tax from london is with Alitalia .... but if you're transferring at London anyway maybe it would be a bit much of a pain to transfer again at Milan/Rome

€210+tax (£143+tax) on British Airways might be a better deal ... as it would be a direct flight.

Ask any good travel agent / play with Travelocity/Expedia etc. to get fares / availability
