This is not a promotion of this site or their products, but i think i am gonna buy these once i find out what the delivery charge is to Ireland. Thought i'd let you know also. 500 chips for £50stg seems to be a good price to me,works out about €80.

Will let you know the delivery charge once i receive an e-mail from them.

Trust me though try and find something lighter than 11.5. I'm not a fan now I have them. Too heavy and slippery. 8.5s yer only man.

Those prices look good. If it is any help I will be in Norn Iron over the next 2 weeks. If the postage to Ireland is really bad you can send them to me ma's house and I can bring them down for you.

I saw a couple of chipsets in the window of a shop on Grafton street ( the Stephens Green end ). Might be worth you checking their prices. Or not.

I'm definitely interested but I dont want to buy those slippy chips so perhaps if you do get them you could let us know what they are like?

they are the same chips offered in a post below by some guy who said he was gonna be at the fitz yesterday (or tonight maybe?) He sells the exact same sets for cheaper than you will get them after paying delivery (delivery is stated on site, £20) Go to the cheapest chips post and look at the guy who's selling the sets.

I use the chips being sold. They aren't slippy at all. They actually stick together pretty well. They are good chips. Defnitely worth the prices.

These are the exact same set offered by Median who played in the fitz last night after delivering 2 loverly sets of chips to me and a friend, his shipping costs were much friendlier than and frieght companies will be. I got a 300 set for €75 and my friend got 500 set for 95.
    Cheers Median again.

As regards to the chips they seem fine, I was going to hold off and get the set of 8.5g chips we sell in work but I just had to take these when the offer came about, havn't played a game with them yet but on touch and feel they are grand

As I have mentioned, I ahve an address in the North. Postage from the Mainland [snigger] to the north is usually much cheaper than to here. I may be able to work somthing out whereby we can get stuff posted there and then either I can collect it or someone can bring it down.

Watch out Pudd, no politics in the poker forum, I might have to get Hyzepher on to you. ;)

Ok, ordered the chips(500) last Thursday, and had them delivered today. Seem fine, will have to test them out with a game with a few mates at the weekend i think. Overall weight(500chips and case) is pretty heavy, so wouldnt want to be lugging them around for too long, but it displays them well. I cant get into the Fitz as much as i'd like due to work, so asking Median was out of the question. All in all though, i'm happy with what i got for the amount i paid(£49stg+£15del).

    All in .

    Call!

They are a good bunch of chips. You still got a good deal regardless:)

Do 50 reps with each arm using the case each day and you should have no bother carrying them in a few months time.

All i can see on that site is 650 chips for £70

did he take the 500's and 300s down???

    cheers

I think it's cause they are selling like hot cakes. I've seen many threads in other forums highlighting the good value.

    ... highlighting the good value.
You *have* to think of the value...its compulsory at this stage.

Special days in liffey valley have started to sell poker stuff.... I ain't seen them yet they'll also be doing shoes etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,550 ✭✭✭✭Krusty_Clown

I called in there last week, and all they had were those cheapy-chips, i.e. the plastic 'Bee' chips in the boxes of 20. The only cards they sold had big green shamrocks on them..

Maybe they've received their new stock since then.

I ordered the GolfHQ chips.. Very good value for money in comparison to some of the chips I saw in the UK retailers (20 quid sterling for a pack of 50 chips).
So for comparison purposes, London High Street is around 40p per chip, GolfHQ is 13p per chip, and you get a case, dealer buttons etc included in the price.

    Hello,

Just been reading up on the cheap chips advice and thought I'd throw this into the pot for you. I've a number of sets for sale that some people here may be interested in.

They are the standard 500 pcs 11.5g chips, alimumium case, 2 decks of cards, 5 dice and dealer button.

I'm based in Dublin City so am happy to save people the Shipping costs if you want to collect or meet for collection. Price is €60. Please view the attached pictures for more information or e-mail me.

Take it to the FS boards if you are trying to sell sets of chips. This thread is about where to buy, not the actual wheeling and dealing.
