Does you know anybody who got pregnant using withdrawl method

I've read on the internet about how you can get pregnant using withdrawl method but do you know any body who got pregnant using this method for sure. I've never seen precum on my penis, i know they say you dont know when it comes out but if my girl friend was pleasuring me, surely I would see it then no? It's just as the relationship develops more and more, we both want sex without condom but I suppose this way is risky... or is it?

By the way, to the thread starter, dont be stupid man use some sort of protection. You dont want a kid trust me, YOU DO NOT WANT AN UNPLANNED CHILD.

there is no such thing as 100% safe
the pill is approx 98/99% - you'd be very unlucky to get pregnant on it, but it does happen
pill + condom is better
or
if you've finished having kids - getting the snip will make it 100% safe

The pill is supposedly 99% effective if you take it properly, ie the same time every day, don't skip days or forget to take your pill, make sure you're vigilant. It isn't as effective when you're taking other medications, or you're really sick (diahrea, vomiting etc), discuss all those other factors with your doctor to make sure you cover all the angles. When you're sick or in doubt, use the condom as an extra.

Withdrawl method is not contraception. If you use that method at the right time of the month, and withdraw at the right time, she might not get pregnant. But is it worth that risk? The pill isn't expensive. Imagine the cost of raising a child, daycare (what like 700 a month at least?), clothes, nappies, everything compared to the price of the pill or condoms. Don't take the risk, you don't want a baby, DON'T DO IT!

You could also use the rythm method as well as the withdrawl method, some prayer would help at this stage along with your girlfriend standing on her head and chanting 'please dont make me pregnant'....

in the heat of the moment you will end up staying 'just that bit to long'....

Look around you where ever you are, there are people who are on this planet because of the withdrawl method. Grumpy trousers is right (as is Billy Connolly) it's a method endorsed and created by men in black dresses who don't have sex.

A good friend of mine used to advocate this method, saying it worked well for her. Of course, it worked well for her. Very well. Every time she used it it worked.

Until the one time it didn't. Nine months after that, she had twins.

yes. My mother... on me. But I wasn't a mistake, just a miscalculation . (stupid mother with her catholic ways and semantics). How I know this is beyond me, and much to my disgust too.

Withdrawl method is without doubt the stupidest of all ideas as regards "safe" sex. Its worse than the idea that a crisp packet is a good replacement for a condom (ouch), or that having sex in a swimming pool stops pregnancy.
I personally feel unsafe using anything less than condom and pill, and never, never go without at least one or the other.
There are plenty of forms of contraception, pill included, that wont interfere with feeling, from coils, to pills, to some wierd ring that you can have inserted..:s. I still dont like the idea of sperm roaming free, though, even with all of the above.

When you're mature enough, and in a good enough financial situation (as well as emotional), then you can go without. It can be your reward for being so great. And a few months later, you will be likely to have another reward of a mature, stable and workable relationship.
