Klipper for GNOME and way of monitoring eth0 traffic

I'm wonder if those kinds of programmes exist. Firstly Klipper for GNOME and some way of seeing how much traffice is going through eth0 (and hence to the internet).

If you don't know Klipper is a little programme that sits on the system tray (as it's called in windows, don't know the linux name) and keeps a record of the last selected text. It's a KDE app (obviously), and dead handy, so is there any GNOME equivalent?

I also want to monitor how much I'm downloading and uploading, so I'd like to be able see how much traffic is going through eth0, which connects to my broadband modem/router. Any suggestions?
