There is always the Quality Hotel, formerly known as the Central Hotel. It is part of Glasgow's Central Station so if you're taking the train from Prestwick airport it's dead convenient. A word of warning, I haven't stayed there since 2000. It was quite nice then but I'm unsure of its condition now.

The other half is just back from a hen weekend in Glasgow. They stayed in Bewleys for about €85 a night. Cost covers room regardless of how many people and type of room. It's quite central and only a couple of minutes away from both train stations.
