Upgrading Laptop

how much roughly would it be to upgrade my laptop like get more memory( a couple of GB), new graphics card(i currently have a ATI Mobility Radeon 9000). i usually use my laptop for games and stuff, but with the sims 2 coming out im gonna be pushing the comp to its limits i think. so any ideas, and would a Computer Clinic…

pc100/133/333/400 ?
graphics usually won't be upgradable.
Not hard to do tbh, wouldn't trust a 'computer clinic'
