comtech.de & jes.de + sweet 9800XT deal

was just browsing the web and came across comtech.de which seems to have much the same site design, product stock as jes.de but 1 or 2 Euro cheaper in most cases - does anyone know if they ship to Ireland and are reliable?

to me they look like the same company as the one behind jes.de but just targeting a different market or something...

also came across what is imo the new bargain, best value graphics card, the TerraTec Mystify Radeon 9800 XT 256MB which sells for 259 Euro on jes.de - reviews on the card are very good, but the only problem seems to be the cooling system, perhaps the new Arctic Cooling ATI Silencer Revision 3 for 24 Euro will fill in for the cooling deficiency. was going to go for a Sapphire 9800 Pro 128MB, but this deal seems to good to pass up for only 60 Euro more.

None of the artic coolers fit on the 9800XT.


So how much is the 9800XT?

it costs 259 Euro

and yes the NEW Arctic Cooling ATI Silencer Revision 3 DOES fit the 9800XT

Sorry, I misread the bit with the price, but I just downloaded the official compatability chart for the Artic cooler and it says:


"In general the cooler fits on the following graphic boards:
-ATI Radeon 9500 (Pro), 9700 (Pro), 9800 (Pro) ; not compatible to All in Wonder and XT Versions
-from Revision 2 compatible to All in Wonder versions
-Revision 3 (available from mid of March) compatible to 9600 (Pro, AIW, XT)"

you are talking about the older VGA Silencer, i am talking about the newer ATI Silencer - two different graphics coolers both by Arctic Cooling.

the ATI Silencer is similar to the VGA Silencer, main difference being it cools the memory as well which was a lacking feature on the VGA Silencer... also revison 3 of the ATI Silencer supports the 9800XT.

I've never heard of the ATI Silencer until now, thanks for the info. I think I'll have to order one of them soon.

havent seen a pic of the Ati silencer..dont suppose it fits an Asus 9800xt by any chance (long shot..but ill try anything)
