As you can probably gather from the title, my line is now finally passing the eircom bb test, don't ask me how I just tried today and it passes, after about a month of nagging the very unhelpful customer service people, now I want to order the free iol three month trial but I have read on this forum in the past number of weeks that eircom lock your line following you request for a line test, is this true? As I don't want to go eircom due to the low cap. Any light shed on the subject will be much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Richy.

They SOMETIMES do, but they SHOULDN'T. Unless you say 'yes I want to order broadband', they have no right to lock your line in to their service. Apparently it doesn't take too long to release it if they do, a day or two.
