Nvidia are going to launch a new mid range series of cards to replace the 5x00 series. Spes look pretty good except for the 128bit memory. should be retailing for around $199. If like me you are looking to upgrade from an old card (geforce4 ti200 in my case) and cant afford the likes of the x800 or 6800 this could be a better option than the 9800pro\xt.

Anyone seen any benchmark/reviews of the x600 series yet?

According to Nvidia's benchmarks, it is kicking ATI's X600XT butt and its tech is significantly faster then X600XT. The Nvidia card is actually eight pipelines versus only four in ATI's case. That’s why ATI is working hard to respond with a R410 card that will come in Q4.

One huge difference is that ATI has had X600XT cards available for at least two weeks now while Nvidia cannot ship its cards before late September if it is lucky.

It's not going to be easy to sell X600XTs with the Geforce 6600 in market that’s for sure, but they are at least available.

you can download the nvida pdf about the 6600 series from http://www.finclockers.com/uutiskuvat/GeForce6600.pdf
