Windows update problem

    I keep getting the same update... and windows update seems to have changed its style.

    Has anyone else had this prob???

    It's probably related to Service Pack 2 - are you on XP?

    Yep, still on SP1... It's the same 2.6mb download. It just keeps repeating...

    Did it say that it successfully installed before it rebooted etc...?

    I had this problem with 2K with some particular updates. Manually downloading them and installing solved it... i.e for a particular update MS has a unique designation for it e.g K234567B or something like that; just google for it....

    It doesn't re-boot, it just installs it and re downloads it... I've set it to manual downloads but it keeps popping up

    Delete the c:\Wutemp folder and clear your IE cache.
