Strange Duplicate Email Problem

    Hi All,

A client is getting a duplicate copy of an email anytime that a message
is sent which includes a cc to another account on thier domain.

They have an mdaemon mail server running our thier office which I assumed
was the problem but am not so sure now.

Any help or guide to where I could track down some email experts
would be appreciated. I did post this on mDaemons forums months
ago and got nothing. The client decided to live with it but it has gone
    beyond an annoyance.

    Thanks in advance,

    Cormac

Don't know of the specific problem, or use that server.
But any more info, to start ruling out possibilities?

    ---
Is it happening when a mail is received by a particular accounts or on all accounts?
Does it matter whether the incoming mail originated internally or externally? (pblm seen in exchange) Can you see the duplicate in the servers incoming smtp log?
Is it when a particular account is CC'ed or any account at all?
Is the header information of the duplicate mail identical?
Are there redirects/autoforwards set up on any accounts, on the server side? To internal or external addresses?
Are there rules set up on the mail client?

Are there distribution lists set up on the server? Does the affected user have aliases on his account, say from ex employees not removed from the distribution list?
