OSX question from a mac noob

    I'm still getting used to mac, and I have done a decent job so far (so much so that I am thinking of getting an ibook or powerbook for home now more than ever), but one thing seems to evade me (and everyone else in the office).

    When I get a dialouge box up (for example when I hit apple W, and I get a 'do you want to save this?' box up..) how to i use the keyboard to switch between the buttons (save, dont save, cancel in this example)? On PC tab works to go forward or shift tab to go back, but not on OSX. The keypad doesnt work either... any help?

    thanks

    flogen

    d = don't save
    s = save
    esc = cancel

    simple really!

    System preferences (hardware) -> Keyboard & Mouse and turn on 'Full Keyboard Access'

    You can then use Tab key to change focus (and/or arrow keys sometimes if applicable). The selected element will have a faintish blue glow around it...
    The default selection will still have the usual blue glow and pressing enter will still operate the default - press "space" to operate your faint glowed selection.

    I'm on 10.3.4 (downloading 10.3.5 at the moment), don't know if it's the same for older versions but I imagine it will be similar.

    Mark.

    normally the first letter of the option
    Dont save > D
    Save > S
    Cancel > C or esc
