Unconfirmed Vicious Rumour

Never before in my poker playing days have I come across a more vicious and downright nasty rumour as this. In fairness, I suppose we were all taken by surprise, after all it isn't something that you would think could ever happen - especially here on boards.ie. I just want to extend my sincere condolances to those who had to witness it and hope that they recover soon.

For those of you who have been spared the details, you should really refrain from becoming inform - those of us you know envy you. For those of you with a unnerving and sick desire for gossip can find the truth here
Dev has made a BSOP final

    You have been warned!!

I would like to say that IF and it is a pretty big IF, this rumour is true, we should immediately start an investigation into these strange goings on!

A drugs test should be administered and eye witness interviews taken, at the very least I suspect collusion between parties and some sort of bribery.

We need to maintain the integrity of our fine board and things like this just give the rest of us a bad name.

DOWN WITH THIS SORT OF THING!!

Now that I think about it, he was there early. As soon as I walked in the door he offered me a drink. Shortly after that I felt a bit woozey and seemed to lose all inhibitions. Could this have anything to do with it?

I would find this way funnier if I had ever made one myself.

    Well hardier har har :):)

Yesterday I had what can only be described as my second best poker-day ever :)

Played in the BSOP heat at 2pm and that was just a crackin' game, really tight close play towards the end but I had a ground out a comfortable chip lead which didnt really fluctuate. Eventually Quozl ended up chip leader and Whiteshadow hung on for dear life, outlasting a very unlucky BiteMe. (Some bloke called Sir Pudding or something was gone in 5 minutes, in fact I think an empty chair and blinded stack lasted longer... *shrug*).

So that gave me a lot of confidence and I headed into the Fitz for some Sit'n'Go STT. Ended up head to head with Luke the Floor manager and beat him to take enough to pay through my rebuys in the Freeroll where I got to the last 4 only to be knocked out on the bubble!! I was chatting and bantering with Luke Ivory while we were playing heads up and I told him I was on a roll and was going to win the 20-in.
Things didnt look so good at the break with only 3300 in chips but about 5 hands after the start I was up to about 10K and never looked back. At final table I was maybe third or second largest stack. I started grinding out the hands and I got some nice cards (and more importantly some nice flops!).
After about 30 mins at final table I was monster stacked with about 70K in the end. Big Derrill also did nicely towards the end and we ended up heads up and made a deal for 600 each, 100 for the dealers and 100 to play it out. Three hands later I found AQ to his AT but just to remind me that the cards giveth and the cards taketh away.... I got bad-beat on the river :)

Still 650, a BSOP ticket and a new found confidence in my game aint bad for 12-hours work! so :^p to you all ....

    DeV.
