Can anyone tell me if this RAM is EEC or non ECC as I have decided to buy ABIT AI7 motherboard which needs non parity RAM.

Product AID: 16571 DDR PC400 1024MB TwinMOS CL 2.5 Dualkit
    Link - http://www.jes-computer.de/product_info.php?pID=16571

    Thanks in advance.

One of the easiest ways is to count the chips on the ram module... non-ecc will have 8 chips on one or either side (8 bits to a byte and all that) ecc will have 9 - extra for parity information

Eh, I don't see any way to check other than to e-mail Jes - it's unlikely that it is ECC, but as TwinMOS do actually make an ECC version of this very kit ( http://www.twinmos.com/dram/dram_p_dt_dualchannel_ddr400.htm ) it's impossible to be sure.

I suggest that you send them an e-mail to confirm it...

Virus_Inc: I had thought of that, but if you look at the picture, the modules are in a box with a big sticker across it (i.e. you can't actually count them) :(
