Bittorrent

    I am currently getting very low download speeds on anything I download using the experimental bittorrent, I am with iol Broadband and am using a Prestige 645R-A1 Router, Ive heard ports being mentioned in t he past but wouldnt have a clue as to where to start, can anybody help??

    Bittorrent uses ports in the 6881-6889 range, and ISP's usually assign low priority to traffic on these ports.

    You can change your port range in bittorrent, for example:
    btdownloadgui.exe --minport 40000 --maxport 45000 --responsefile mystuff.torrent

    It might help, but you might find out that the people sharing the file you're trying to download simply don't have enough bandwidth.
