 Unlocked a Nokia 3510i myself from the meteor pay as you go network today and want to switch to Vodafone while still keeping my 085 number,is this possible as Meteor would not give me the unlock code quoting I had not topped up by 130euro since I got the phone.
Will they let vodafone use my 085 number when they contact them to allow the switch.

I can't for the life of me see why you would want to do that but if you really want to...

Just call voda and say "I wanna get screwed over" they will switch you over there and then. It doesn't matter what meteor say.

Just in the last few days I phoned up Vodafone and got the unlock code, then bought an 085 sim, put it into my phone and it worked. Then phoned up Meteor and asked them to change my Meteor number to my Vodafone number. They did it instatly, as if they did not have to contact vodafone, so you may get away with it. They should not question you, how do they what phone you are putting them in?

If you have unlocked the phone then there is nothing stopping you switching ... The questions remains why on earth have you choosen to switch to Vodafone?
