Hi all! What does everyone think of Boards new makeover? I like but i think the colour is a bit 2 bright! I would like to see my buddy list back in my user cp so that i can see my buddies when they come online.
4 me this new look is goin 2 take some getting used to.
I love the new smilies though! :cool:

I like it, it'll take a bit of getting used to but now that I have my Cloud scheme I'm a happy bunny.

I agree, some getting used to... Not overly fond of the new skin... If we could get the old skin on top of the new software?

You can't really make a decision after only a few hours. Wait till they get new skins and tweek with it abit.

when you go to the Shop menu on the top of the page you cant select Bargain Alerts and cant see it as Google ads are over the Shop menu i am using Opera Browser and everythime i post a new message my post count dosent update

I have changed my style to Classic and it dosent seem so bright now .

I dont know why I could do this in the section calender and events though .

I didn't like it at first but I do now. The white style is a bit easier on the eyes. Like the way you can see who is online and what they are reading now

Aside from that, the makeover looks nice. T'was a bit bright @ first, but it's OK now, now that I've put back on. All good, says me.

I thought it would be worse but i still dont like it. What adv does it have? what elce has changed besides the crap look. what does it do good for me?
Is it faster or more relaible?

I've been waiting for this upgrade. It's far much user friednly than vB2! i'm glad the upgrade happened!

I get this too, also using Opera. Historically, with the old version, it used to slow Opera to a crawl if multiple windows were open. Didn't do it if JS was disabled. Don't know if this one has fixed that problem - I think it was the menus.

Other than that I think it's very nice. The full edit window is much easier to use with 'enhanced mode' and the 'quick reply' option is nice too...

Shoved on the grey theme and I like it. The subbed menus are ALOT clearer, and so are the was threads are marked un/read. I also like the way it marks a thread you just posted in as read, instead of unread because of a new post. [Used to mess up the subbed menus]. I likes it, but then again, I would!

still one or two things that I need to figure out. It will take a couple of days to get used to it.

I think it's too early for this poll to give us any sort of a true indication one way or another. This is the most significant upgrade that boards has had in at least two years and the scale that we're at right now means that it makes sense to evaluate new ways of doing things. It's also not finished. As any of ye who have been around for significant changes before have seen, a lot of tweaking and twiddling goes on when we change things for quite some time.

Also, people have gotten used to using the old software and its ways and quirks. In my estimation the usability of vbulletin 3 is a big step forward, but a lot of the enhancements weren't obvious to me until I'd used it for a while. I'd say reserve judgement for a while.

This is going to be here for quite a while, it makes more sense to reach a decision after the first month than after the first day. Not everything you see changed represents a sudden decision either. If we'd hidden it away until we tweaked it so a lot of the old hacks and configurations were restored, you'd have been without boards for a week probably.

I preferred the old look. THe new one just feels .... "cluttered". Not to mention very cartoony and "big".

The dynamic menu stuff is good though.

It'd be nice if people used the "reputation" feature - like the comments scoring system on slashdot it lets you know the general quality of a persons posts.
