I need to get a PCI Sata Contoller for the new pc, cus the motherboard didnt come with one.

Im just a little lost in this area. I've looked around in different online shops, and there seems to be quite a price jump between some models.

All I need it for is to link up one Sata Hard Drive to the computer.

Since it will be my computers 1st and only hard drive, when I go to boot it up, and install Windows XP, on the first boot, will it detect it has a Proper Hard drive?

Why is there such a price difference in some of the models?
What PCI Controller should I be looking for in order to get the Hard Drive working as a Booting/master hard drive?(Cheaper the cost the better for me ), Its a Samsung 160gb Sata one.
