    so,
    my gig of the year.
perfect small venue, everyone seemed to be in the mood for it (including the band) and great music!
the only downside was 65 euros from the tout.
    but hey,

Thought it was a good show, but my night was ruined by that sh*thole of a venue. The place gets more oppressive every time I go there, have they any concept of air conditioning?

Congratulations to the management of the TBMC for recreating exactly the SFX experience. Is this some sort of revival effort, a-la School Disco?

Just being smart and using girlie faces. They're an OK band IMO, but not worth a €65 ticket. Plus the fact that it was in TBMC knocks about 40% off the appeal of any gig. Is it the suckiest venue in Dublin? I'd like to think so :D

thats why i paid the money,
the only other one is the olympia, which i saw them at last year....
the sound is a bit off , with the voice..but the music sound is fine and in fact the bass was brilliant last night...

and as for air conditioning, its a concert...its meant to be hot...

I swore at every tout I could on the way into the gig last night. They should all have their balls chopped!

    Anyway.. Great gig.

However, That was the first time I'd ever seen a band in the TBMC... For a venue whose name clearly indicates that it's there to accomodate live music, they sure created a *hite venue! I mean, it's flat!!! Venues should be tiered at least a little bit. Unless you're quite tall, you haven't a hope of getting a half decent view of the band.

Kings of Leon - You guys rock... And the new stuff sounds really cool. Roll on second album.

    Kev.

Paid 25eur for mine and really really really enjoyed the gig. It was a fantastic venue and I've always loved seeing bands there (Less Than Jake being another memorable one) and Kings Of Leon put on a really good show, better than Oxegen imo.

    Got the setlist too :)

Really enjoyed it - was far too warm though! Had an 'along came polly' moment with some shirtless guy, wasn't pretty at all. *shiver*

Thought it was cool that the band were approachable afterwards - friend managed to get a photo and an autograph out of it.
