Weekly Task: HM's chained together

The housemates have been brought a lot closer together in this week's task.

The group have been paired up and chained together, remaining so for the next three days.

Yesterday, the housemates were weighed to determine the pairing based on who are the heavyweights, the middleweights and the lightweights. Big Brother today announced the following pairings to the house:

· Jason and Michelle
· Daniel and Nadia
· Stuart and Shell

The group were subsequently provided with three sets of shackles. One set joins Nadia and Daniel by their ankles, another joins Shell and Stuart at their waists and the other chains Michelle and Jason by their wrists.

The pairs must remain chained to each other constantly throughout the course of the task, except for when they go to the toilet, visit the diary room and for 10 minutes when preparing for bed at night and showering/getting dressed in the morning.

The chained housemates will also have to sleep together and, upon hearing the morning alarm, must assemble on the sofas and participate in a morning exercise routine.

For the course of the task the housemates are not allowed to brush their own teeth or apply their own makeup/moisturisers/suncream; instead their chained partner must perform these duties. Similarly, the housemates must be fed and watered by their partners.

The group will also be set a number of tests between now and Wednesday. Overall, the housemates can not incur any more than three fails per day or they'll fail the entire task. If the housemates are successful, their shopping budget for the final week will be doubled and they will be treated to a message from home. A fail will mean no shopping budget and no message from home.

The housemates laughed when they heard what the task would entail. "I want to lay down some ground rules," Michelle told Stuart and Shell, but Shell assured her she would have nothing to worry about. "We're just joined at the hip!"

Brilliant.

Evil surpassed. I'd say some exec was salivating and rubbing his hands at his luck that they could do such a nasty thing.

Aside from the green-eyed monster we'll see in Michelle (joined at the waist, and they'll have to feed eachother, genius), we get to see how Jason just completely loses his mind.

What was the point in weighing them? You would think it was so one big guy wouldn't paired up with a small girl and be dragging them around (Jason and Shell for example), but then it would make more sense to join Jason and Nadia. Although maybe they though that would have been going too far. He'll be driven insane by Michelle as it is.

I'd say that the only reason that they weighed them was to wind them up!

Oh yeah, missed that. I'd say it's Dan's height that gives him the weight. He's actually quite large-boned as well, but very skinny.
