Broken Playstation 2. Can it be fixed?

    might be able to get a broken PS2 at some stage this week. frind managed to pull it off the table when the disc drive was open and sounds like the motor is gone inside.

    assuming the drive can't be fixed what are the chances of replacing the drive? is this easy and how many yoyos will it set me back?

    btw i'll post some pics of the damage when i get it.

    kanection only sells the lasers which i don't need. i guess the best bet is ebay but i'm a bit wary buying from the states (which i'll have to do).
    Place at the back of the Ilac center (beside the closed news agents opposite the cycle shop) repairs them for 90 euro.

    €90? i'd be better off buying a 2nd hand one at that price.

    i have a broken ps2 at home the gfx chip has blown couldn't be arsed in getting it fixed- name a price if you want it :)

    you can get them fixed alright ... but you may be paying at least €60 ...... you could try siyucom - 01 885 6000 ....
