Urgent Help With Dell Latitude

    we have a c640 here in the office and the clock is reseting to factory default everytime,even after i try setting thru bios and as admin etc,i heard it might be a faulty battery? igf anyone knows a quik fix please help,the owner cant use certain software as the pc thinks its 1980 all the time

    Replace the CMOS battery? (Not sure how easy it is to do this with a laptop) - or if it still under warranty with Dell get them to fix it.

    afaik the cmos battery's in pc's are the same as in laptop so just get one from an old pc that is still working
