    Just days after the release of the 1.2 patch , ubi-soft has withdrawn the patch due to the problems some users have been experiancing.The official site www.farcry-thegame.com has the press release.Crytek has been told to make a new patch.Unbelievable !!!!.We wait this long for the patch and then this happens.
    Muppet's the lot of them :mad: .

    I downloaded and installed this patch and it screwed up my install. The sound didn't work properly only some sounds were played, the textures were all messed up. An absoutly crap patch caused more problems than it fixed. P.S 3.0 my arse crytech should be ashamed. They release a great game with state of the art engine without any problems and then totally shag it up because they want to please Nvidia and include pixel shader 3.0 a totally unnecessary enhancement.

    I'll wait and see what the majority of multiplayer servers do before i uninstall it, but i reckon most servers will revert back to 1.1.

    On an unrelated note, EA have contracted CRYTEK to make a new franchise for them, announced today. Looks like EA's influence is already paying off :rolleyes:

    I got the patch not noticed a hole lot except alot of minor graphical issues. I think its a fairly common complaint among ATI graphics card users. Anyway I will revert back to 1.1 but its a pain in the ass that I will almost certainly have to redownload the hole patch again. Would of been nice if they just did a minor patch for the patch.

    Oh by the way just stumbled on an article on the net saying Far Cry is banned in Germany because it had got a proper youth cert. Just thought I would bring it to your attention I found it slightly funny.

    i dont think CRYTEK ever realy intended this to be a multiplayer game sure they put in the multiplayer option but only because its expected for there to be multiplay options in games
    it jsut dont seem like they put much taught into that element of the game

    Tuxy I would have to disagree I find the multiplayer mode excellent and works well on my rather rubbish single channel isdn. I have had very few issues with this game and believe it to be the best game in long long time.

    L5 I would not look to foward to EA games taking over the reins as I found them woefull in multiplayer support of games. The Total war series was very badly maintained. OF course battlefield 1942 had alot of bugs that took a long while to fix.

    But I'm glad when a company supports a products with updates long after the game is released.

    the thing is there are very few servers and this is probably because its alot more expensive to host windows servers then linux ones
    if they realy planned the multiplayer wouldnt they have included a linux server?
