Anyone got any idea on a program that will let you add text into a particular shape (autoshapes suck).

ie. I was a big 04 with about 300 names in the shape of the 04.

    Any ideas?

Well, I suppose that you COULD use MS Word .... draw a great big circle, and the text should automatically flow around it

Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7 does the trick, AFAIK the latest version is 8 but it should still do the same stuff.

You can get a 30-day trial of it from the website.

The method I would use (off the top of my head) would be to make the large 04 as a text size of circa 200, place around that a hollow circle (shape tool) that is the same colour as the background.
Select a small font such as 8 or thereabouts, select the Text tool, hover it over the edge of the (should now be invisible) circle. When you click to type the text in, it should scroll around the circle as you type.

    Hope theat helps :) .
