    Dead Like Me

Anyone catch this show on Sky1 last year?

Thought it was a great show! Not really the funniest in terms in comedy but it was a very original series in terms of mixing very dark comedy with drama.

So much better than a lot of the muck on Sky nowadays (Oliver Beene, Jake 2.0 - take note!)

Was convinced they weren't making another series! But the premiere of the second season is being premiered on Sunday night in the US (it's getting a lot of promotion on IMDB)

Hope Sky picks up this second season.

Yep, it'd be good for season two to get an airing. The first episode is actually quite funny and sets up lots of little plotlines for the rest of the season. Yeah, this time my tape from the states fell through a wormhole...

    Yep.. a really great series...

I can't wait till my DVD boxset of season 1 arrives.. I missed a few episodes...

There was one great episode with a gay couple in it.. it was really well done.

Oh and you have to love her boss, remember the episode where George goes and stays with her, and she has web cams all over her apartment...

I hope they can do something a bit better with George's family this time around, because most of the time their stories didn't really go anywhere...

Well, it was obvious from what happens last series that:

    (a) George's sister is really descending into madness (remember the tree of toilet seats?)
    (b) George's Mum and Dad will probably end up seperating before the end of this series (that's another thing i love about the show - they showed the parent's marriage problems in real raw detail - they didn't sugar coat it!)

Hopefully Sky will be picking up ASAP!!

Won't be watching any of the episodes this week because (unlike Ixoy) i don't have much download allowance left this week! Goddamn you Eircom!!

Oh and cheers monkeyfudge, you reminded me that i must order that DVD of the First Season!

Ixoy, let us all know what they're like.

This was by far my favorite show of last year and I'm looking forward to season S2 if anyone bothers picking it up

It was entertaining from the start but undenably felt a bit 'gimmicky', as though it was riding on the whole 'isn't death cool?' vibe that Six Ft Under generated the previous year.

However in the later eps the show really came into their own and it became clear that this was a programme with some depth and emotion in it.

My favorites eps of Season1 were the ones where the cook (aka John Kapelos aka the janitor from The Breakfast Club) dies and the one where they ape that famous Edward Hopper painting 'Nighthawks'.
