    Hey all,

Looking for a digital Camera for under €300. Was looking around in Peats/Sony Centre. Can get this for €285. I know its not close to online prices (224 on Komplett) but has anyone any opinions on this Camera
? Or the Cyber Shot range in General?

This will be my first "decent" camera :)

    Cheers

I have a dsc-p52 and I find it pretty good. The only problem I have with it is the whole "automaticness" of everything, it's somewhat difficult to finetune and adjust it. (Automatic zoom for example is irritating). But I suppose that's one of the things you expect with digital cameras, unless you go for one of the Leica-type manual digital thingers. Getting a bit off topic there...

I bought a cybershot P100 last week and it's a brilliant camera, i'm very pleased with it. It was 479 euro in Dixons though, you might want to go for a P73 which is around 360 euro, I don't really know about other cybershots.

Just a word of warning...DON'T buy from the Sony centre or Peats! Peats run the Sony shops in town and they're extortionate. I was quoted 539 euro for my cybershot P100 in the Sony centre in Jervis st. Walked over to dixons and saved myself lots of cash. Wow, I never thought i'd hear myself say Dixons saved me cash :)

Well in the end i bought that cybershot in my first post. Its a very nice Camera for the price. 16Mb Memory stick is not enough though :) Getting a 128 for €42 which is'nt too bad. Battery life is'nt great though :dunno:

Oh and i bought it from the Sony Centre in Galway. Checked Dixons and they didnt stock it (It seams to be a new camera). Peats had it for €285 but its a long way up to Dublin from Limerick :)

i recommend the NIKON COOLPIX 2200. The only thing ghey about it is theres no sound on the video recordings, but its great value imo.

i got mine with a case, and a 128mb memory card, a usb card reader (didn't really need this though), and express delivery for 220 euro :D
now please oh wise ones dont tell me about it being **** or anything i got it for my birthday and love it. don't wreck my buzz. peace.
