I've got a few thousand aer lingus points over the years and they're running a deal where you can redeem your points for tech bits and pieces through
    http://www.mbt.ie/aerlingus/

I'd been looking for a decent printer and i've the choice through this site of a Lexmark x1150 or a Epson CX 3200

Anybody recommend either of these over the other ?
Also, which are the cheapest consumables to replace (ink)

    Cheers

The Epson would be the better choice to go with IMO. Lexmark cartridges are way too pricey and the drivers can sometimes be troublesome (I refer in particular to the Lexmark X73 combi model from a few years ago -around 2002- which I have yet to see installed on a Windows XP system without problems).
I'd recommend stepping up to the Epson 6400 or at least Epson 5400 if they allow you to redeem points against these. I installed a 6400 this evening for a friend and it is a really great combi. Will be installing a 5400 within a few more days. (Ordered a pair from UK for some friends), should be straightforward if it is anything like its bigger brother. Even the 3200 should be decent, just not as many features.

I agree, not only are Epson carts cheaper than Lexmark but Epson clone carts work very well and are filthy cheap from the likes of MX2 and 7 Day Shop . I have used the clones made by Printrite for a while now and never had any probs .....even doing photo printing with them.

Lexmark printers are also what Dell sell as their 'own' . Cheap to buy but shockingly expensive to run.
