Sorry just one more thing about kilkenny...
It has come to my attention that the kilkenny team have now become known as "dj" or so it seems. It is a rare occasion when a kilkenny crowd chant... and when they do chant, they chant dj... there is 30 odd people on that team not just 1. Yes he is a class player and will be remembered more than the others, but it is a team and it angers me that they dont get cheered as well. I would like to hear the kk fans to shout kilkenny or supercats or something along those lines instead of dj... of course when he gets a goal or sumthin fair enuff. So cmon kilkenny get ur voices in order for sunday the 25th give the team ur support, lets be heard on the hill, the hogan etc. and shout CMON THE KATZ. :ninja:

4/1 on Clare

So if I bet €1 I will win 0 and lose €1

€10 I will win 0 and lose €10
€100 I will win 0 and lose €100
€1000 I will win 0 and lose €1000
€100000000 I will win 0 and lose a sh*t load of money

This DJ chant from Kilkenny fans is just a recognition of greatness I feel. Any chant from us Cats has to be an improvement as traditionally we tend to talk our way through matches rather than roar.
First time I came across it was in the first ever qualifier in Thurles 1997.
I think nowadays though that a DJ score , especially a goal , has a greater value to the Kilkenny performance than just 3 points.
This fact was actually recognised by some of the Clare players following the early goal in 2002 All Ireland.
As far as the team concept goes DJ is always first to recognise this.
Lets hope we have plenty reasons to roar & chant next Sunday.

many of the fans are around leaving cert age and the match was on in the middle of L.C. ... also not being arrogant or anything (cant afford to be!) but some, and i repeat some kk people have thought in the past that "ah sure its only wexford". But as i kept sayin to them "they'll Fu<k us over someday u wait n see" and look what happened! I even joked wouldnt be so funny if the guy got a goal from the free... and he basically did with a few flicks to his team mates. We dont have many supporters til the All IReland day n that pisses me off! (actually new thread 4 that!)Anyway up the katz this Sunday, hopefully we'll be out in force! and we'll 'bayte clay-or"

Leaving Cert my eye. Its arrogance out and out. Kilkenny folk cant be bothered until its the all ireland final or semi final. Mind you all 2,200 who got tickets for the Wexford game shouldbe assured of all ireland final tickets if the cats get there.

I agree with KevIRL LC my ar*e! So you are saying that nobody doing the LC in Wexford went! The Kilkenny "fans" were just arrogant and thought ah sure it is only Wexford! Very few Wexford people gave them a chance and they still turned out and put the Kilkenny "fans" to shame!

And i agree SOME KK fans are arrogant(i said that in my last post)... but im not 1 of them (last year maybe! but certainly not this year)... i was ****tin a brick against galway even with 10 mins to go! As for this Sunday, shower me in holy water and put a railing around cusack so i wont fall out.

I am just giving a comparision, you mentioned the Wexford Kilkenny match! There are some counties whose fans will turn out no matter what, and others who stay at home!

I think Kilkenny are quite lucky to still be involved. McGarry was a fair bit busier then Davey Fitz was. Maybe you should just be grateful country gurl, and stop taking victories for granted!

i wasnt taking it for granted... as i said in my last post it was just in case that we did beat Clare that i had it arranged around the matches. I was actually expecting Clare to come up and beat us. And sure isnt McGarry better off being busy gives him practice and shows it wasnt a 1 sided boring match.
