Good boots for gaelic football?

Can someone recommend a good make of football boot that's suitable for gaelic football?
I'm thinking Adidas Predators would be overkill for instance...

It is really whatever you are most comfortable. I find that Puma and Adidas make good boots, but I don't like Umbro or Nike boots as much. Like I said it is down to personal taste and comfort

Predators might be useful if you are a free kick taker but otherwise I would not say they would give much of an advantage. I have always preferred Adidas footwear for GAA and Soccer but Icould not justify why if I was asked.

if you play soccer use the boots u have(used while playing soccer) , otherwise its just a matter of finding one u want .

with it being to your own preference , although I find Adidas footwear is designed for people with not so wide feet .

Yeah I find them narrow at first as well, but they stretch and are quite comfortable then

I usually go for Adidas. Because they're very comfortable and also because the tongue is tied/stuck down onto the boot so it doesn't take any of the power out of your shots (helps you kick well). I find that Puma King tongues get in the way and can put you off. Especially when kicking off the ground.

Don't get Nike's whatever you do.

I have Pumas and they are none as the best boots for football.Never go for Nike there just for soccer.But go for what you feel comfortable in.

If you are a goalkeeper try some old fashioned steeltoe capped rugby boots. They help your kick outs big time!

Why do yee hate Nike , I wear them for football and ive no problem scoring with them anyway , plus the tongue stays down without being tied down .

I have only had one pair of Nike boots and it was a few years, but they fell apart after a couple of months. I only use them once a week so that is not really on.

I found that Friends of mine used the old version of 'total 90 ' Nike boots and they fell apart(on some of them ) , but newer versions of Nike boots dont seem to have this problem .

The material used on Nike boots is very light, which doesn't suit Gaelic football IMO.

I play Soccer , Gaelic football , Hurling and rugby with my Nike boots , and there fine .

maybe its just me and my magical pair of boots :rolleyes: .
