my gf was lifted on saturday for havin 3 pills on her.
they took her in and searched her, took all details etc. bangharda told her nothing will prob happen but shes not too sure.

any1 have any ideas? should she be lookin out for a court summons?

I cant Imagine them doing too much , just imagine how many pills and Q's that they must have confiscated over the weekend! , They would be doing the paperwork for the next year.
And as long as she said nothing to them, they would have a hard time of it in court if ye got a decent solicitor.

She should be ok but it depends and varies a lot, one of my mates was caught with 3 before and he got merely a good ticking off and a fine afair.

Well my mates got a good bit of hash taken off them and one of them had five and a half pills taken off him. They took his name and address but not the names of the ones with the hash. They just took the hash and left them.

Pills are a more serious offence but they're more lookin for the dealers at these sort of things so if she only had 3 she should be fine.

Plus someone i know got a summons last year for having pills (a good few now) and his case just got thrown out of court cos there were other witnness people there that day who were caught with hundreds and his case seemed insignificant in comparison

Well dispite the way halfhead is coming across he is correct. She was in possession of something illegal. Doesnt deserve anything serious especially since she wasnt giving them out to others. But the law is the law

What she did was illegal, but I'd rather see the courts bringing in the dealers and suppliers, rather than spend thousands of tax money on some girl who was carrying enough pills to just about daze a pigeon.

I agree that it's illegal to use drugs but then again i don't think its neccesarily wrong.

I mean who's to say our judicial system is the be all and say all of how we should live our lives. I mean it's legal to smoke hash and do certain other drugs in different countries. It's illegal right and i'm not condoning breaking the law but i still think that people have the right to choose what they do and what they put in their own bodies.

So before you go damning everyone else remember that your opinion is just that. Yours. And if someone else decides they want to try something else and experiment with substances that aren't legal in this country then they have the right to do that without some prat like yourself from damning them

Actually, they don't have the right, under Ireland's judicial system .

If someone doesn't like the laws of Ireland so much, there are other countries to choose from, as you pointed out yourself.

Well, I'd rather not get into a debate on morality, seems to last for hours every time I do , I'll just say that morality can be subjective.

a mate of mine got caught rolling a spliff at oxegen on the saturday night, the gard went to cut his pit band off and kick him out......so he fu**ing decked the gard and legged it back in.
I admit I laughed my arse off upon hearing this but for that, you should be arrested.

but as for 3 pills, c'mon, I was out a few weeks ago when out of nowhere a scumbag started swingin a hunting knife at me and my mates because we had no smokes to give him, the gards pulled up and gave him a 'stern warning' took his name and fu**ed off, xclaiming he'd get a JLO, (yes he was just a mental kid!)
