Quick questions on credit card expiry dates

    Does a credit card expire at the beginning or at the end of the month in the expiry date?

    Do banks send replacements automatically or do you have to request them?

    How soon before the expiry date do they tend to send them (if they do)?

    (My bank's website didn't consider it worthwhile putting up a faq with this info).

    Generally it's the end of the month in question.
    Do banks send replacements automatically or do you have to request them?

    It should be an automatic process.
    How soon before the expiry date do they tend to send them (if they do)?

    Normally it's about two weeks before the end of the month that your card expires in.
