I am bidding on a rare whisky on eBay. Seller is in the UK. If I win and it is sent over what are the tax implications?

Well - I won the auction at about half what the whisky is worth so there is spare money for the tax...

If it is duty paid in the UK there are no implications IIRC

If it is a sh1te blended scotch then its your problem :D

A nice 20 year old Laphroaig is quite palatable though

A 25 yo Lagavullin and a 25yo Cragganmore (Cask strength) - oooh yeah.
