Anyone intersted in a jam?

Im looking for somebody who would be interested in helping me put together some songs.

Ive been a singer songwriter for some time now,and have wrote a good variety but need somebody whos doing the same as me, sittin on their ass, to come and jam, have some fun working over the songs I have. Im 20,female, and have a short, husky harmonic voice.Ive been writing alot of songs for three years now and have many ideas in my head, but its not gonna work if I dont meet someone who wants to make music( I know we all do) but actually make it work.

So I played piano since I was 6,went to college to do music, that didnt work out cause I figured Id be in the same place after 3 years,as I was beginning,and a degree would put me no-where in the industry I wanted to be.I began guitar last year,just by myself and have been using a plucking sequence in most of my new songs(that I wrote with the guitar)

And Im not not just looking for a guitarist, if you play cello,violin,bass,drums,anything the bloody flute,and want to mess around with new ideas,new music,new fusions, lets do it!

I just got myself a new computor with cubase+c studio and all on it, the four tracks there,Ive a great soundcard,and its all sitting there waiting to be used.I mess around on it, but Im not the bess guitarist and its more frustrating me now I cant get the sound I want.I moved back home after uppin outa college and my mams got a playschool built seperate from our house and it holds sound pretty well, so wouldnt be an issue lookign for somewhere to practise.

So I basically Im looking for someone who knows the guitar pretty well, so when I bang out a song,you'll think, I can work with this, throw in some chords,ideas and help finish the song.Im not looking for a band,just someone who wouldnt mind helping me out for a bit, then see how we go. All my guitarist buddies are in bands and older than me,and done it all,and aint intersted and gettin on with life.
All I want is to hear the songs work.Everyones telling me I should get my act together for over a year now.Im commited,bursting full of new ideas and confident on stage,I try my best all the time.Ive got loads of ideas, just need a jammin buddy.

So if your doing sweet F/A this summer, do you want to come jam??

Well, I'm already in a band and we're concentrating on getting things going, but I'm always interested in putting together tunes.

I like the idea of working with stuff people have already written (kinda production, I suppose), since sometimes I hear a song and I think "a few snare rolls would be great here" or "that needs some 2-part harmonies"...

I wouldn't be able to give you full commitment, but as you said yourself, it might be a good laugh. Do you have anything recorded already? Any MP3s?

I play guitar and sing. I'm only just learning piano now, so you probably know a lot more than me!

So 2years ago I threw a huge party at my place, it was cool everyone jammin everywhere over 130 ppl came and cause I cant be trusted Im stuck in my Aunts for 2weeks while the parents are off sunnin their white asses.

I will be together in 2weeks with a MP3 to email you since all my gear is in their house.In the meantime,where abouts are you?and where do you normally mostly be?

Myself and a mate are trying to do the same thing. We have some stuff down. I play guitar (been playing about 2 years) and he plays drums. We play pretty much anything except really heavy metal, but tend to lean more towards acoustic type rock. Similar to Counting Crows / Ryan Adams / Jesse Malin type stuff.

We're both around Dublin 15.

I'm 17, he's 18.

I've experience using cubase and all that aswell. I'm in the process of setting up a mini studio in a purpose built extension on the house. Consists now of a decent PC, mic'd up amps and mic'd up drum kit.

If your interested, let me know and we can see what we can come up with!
