Anyone got any figures for the percentage of Irish householders who have either NTL Digital or Sky Digital? Just trying to settle a debate here - I think the figure is roughly 20% of households but I could be wrong.

Sky Digital is in 23% of households (sept 2003) so if you add NTL and Chorus (dont forget Chorus!) you must be heading towards a third of houses.

    From http://www.dtg.org.uk/reference/dtt_world/dtt_ireland.htm
In the meantime, Sky has converted all its analogue subscribers in the Republic to digital. It now has around 300,000 subscribers in the Republic....

At the same time, the two main cablecos, Chorus and NTL Ireland, have been successful in converting their customers to digital. Chorus has 110,000 cable customers and a further 90,000 on MMDS. Around 35,000 of its customers have converted to digital and by the end of 2005, it hopes to have 45 per cent of its entire customer base digitalised. Chorus itself, which is jointly owned by Independent News & Media and Liberty Media, remains on the market. NTL Ireland has made even more digital progress. Out of its 360,000 subscribers in Dublin, Galway and Waterford, 55,000 have converted to digital, including its 18,000 MMDS subscribers.
