    Hi,
I want to keep my eircom address as I've had it for ages and people know it. However I get about 1,000 junk mails every few days.

I check it on eircom.net and have to click select all (only selects 50 at a time) and then move to trash, I have to repeat this until the trash has 250 mails, then empty trash and repeat thr process again.

I don't want to use outlook express cuz it downloads each mail instead of just having the choice to download as on eircom.net

Is there any sollution to this without paying 2euro per month for the spam control?

    Thanks!

There is a program called Mailwasher that is free and you can check your mail without downloading them as such. You can also delete and bounce mail. Bouncing mail will make it look as if your e-mail account does not exist so that you might be taken off the spammers mailing list. You can also block addresses and add entire domains to the bounce and delete list.

Did I say that it was free?

This seems to happen eventually when you have any email address long enough.

You can try the Mailwasher thing, but if I were you I'd cut my losses and go for a new account and only give the address to people you actually want to write to you.

    It sure is annoying though...
