hi everyone

i got 2 diplomas in electronics, my most recent was a national diploma in electronic and comp eng (now an ordinary degree). i got a merit 2

i have previously done a city and guilds 271 T5 diploma (telecomms)

now, i am pretty feb up with the technician work which is all i can do really with what i got, but since i finished this course in may i havent looked for jobs as im off to do a degree in september.

i feel a year or 2 is not much more if you will get a decent engineering job out of it.

im offered a BSc in electronic systems in limerick, a year more on the books.

i have also been looking into uni and the added benefit of work placement, (which a mate says is crap and money is poo!).

ul is out as i wont meet work placement in year 3, wit is too far away (im in kerry), nuig is a possibility, (if i get into year 3, dont have distinction, but have 3 1/2+ yrs work exp, and the other city and guilds dip to help me along)

im wondering is there any difference between a BEng in electronic and comp eng (nuig) and Bsc in electronic systems (lit).

i want to get into hardware, ideally junior electronic engineer would be a good starting position.

also how difficult is a degree comapred to the national diploma i have just done?
