    Ok ive got 2 pc's and a laptop all running xp pro and an xbox running gentoox all on my lan.
    My prob is my main pc requires a password to access it from any of the other's and as i didnt ever set a password on it - i dont know what the username / password is!!

    has anyone ever seen this before - ive tried guest / guest but no go - its not a big prob but stil annoying . All other access's are grand

    any help appreciated

    Hmmm; okay i'm thinking that your logging in automatically as administrator on the PC in question.

    Now with your administrator powers as such; i would create another account that you can use to gain access remotely.

    Not sure if i'm right but better than nothing to go on:)

    run the home networking wizard in XP pro on the main pc
    this will let you set up the users
