Just got a dell latitude d600 and i'm wondering if its possible for me to access wireless networks outside of work using the standard 'Dell Wireless WLAN 1350' card that comes with it.

IF so , how do i go about getting the details for wans in my area, Lucan.

Dumb question but seeings as the irishwan site is unavailable at the moment thought this might be the place to ask.

    Cheers,
    Eain

As your in Lucan, try DublinWAN.

Bear in mind that IrishWAN, DublinWAN, etc, are community networks, and people who access them generally contribute something as well - gear, expertise, time, money, whatever. Check out the IrishWAN forums when they're back up, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

99.9% of all info on the irishwan site is in the forums, which are up as normal. The only thing down is the main site frontend due to daily defacements.
