Does anybody know if the English language version of Eurosport is available on FTA satellite (I'm willing to move my dish if needed). I've checked on Lyngsat but it's unclear which language version it is.

You can get German Eurosport on Astra 19e in analogue, but there's an English soundtrack you can select.

Thanks! I was wondering if that was English or not... But it looks like I'll have to track down a second hand analogue box.

I love watching the Tour de France and I usually watch it on Belgian television (excellent commentary) but this year they are showing it on a channel that can only be received in Belgium. The Dutch commentary is so dour that you'd nearly fall asleep. Eurosport has Sean Kelly doing the commentary, which is great.

If I remember correctly you can also get the picture FTA on digital on the same satellite - not sure if you could run both boxes off the same LNB 'cos frequencies etc.

Just mentioning it cos the digital picture is a bit crisper.

    Mr Lennoxschips.
If you go to www.eurosport.com you can listen to the english commentary and watch the dutch Ned 2, only problem is a little delay ie 10 second or more. English commentary also on www.letour.fr
    Hope thats of use!!! :):):)
BTW No Dave Duffield, someone says he's back in the Paris office "pity"

Yes, but the only problem is that there is no English soundtrack option. It's German audio only. Though if gets audio elsewhere, he can't lose! Does BBC R5 Live not cover Tour de France?

Used to enjoy watching the alpine stages live with Dave Duffield and Stephen Roche, they uses to go way off topic at times, it was like sitting at the side of the road with a group of mates waffling away while waiting for something to happen.

Hence the bit - not sure if you could run both boxes off the same LNB 'cos frequencies etc ie. one Analog box (audio) and one digital box (video).

Analog picture and analog sound off the one box. No problem.

Eurosport's digital feeds are really nasty anyway.
