Anyone ever booked flights on airasia.com?

Was wondering if anyone has any experience using this airline? Can get a flight from bangkok to chiang mai for around 700 thai bahts which works out at around 15 euro incl taxes - seems almost too good. Any info appreciated

They seem to use older aircraft (B-737-300) with "tired" interiors.

Just had a look at that webpage and indeed it looks almost too good to be true. Bkk to Penang THB1,300.00 (€26) each way!!
It looks like a very professional site though so I'd say it's worth giving them a go. The worst that can happen is that you loose 700baht (or go down in a ball of flames)

They are pretty reliable. They are just doing the ryanair in Asia.

Their planes are in fact quite nice, with Leatherseats.

The Airline is partly owned by the Thai Prime Minister, the Malaysian Government and some Malysian music Manager.

Flew with them several times... even cheaper... for example 2 Euro to Singapore... they beat Ryanair any time.
