    Well first i'm kinda drunk which kinda goes with all these Saturday nite posts :)

    Anyway i can identify alot with the "insert topic here" post i can safely say that that post describes me farely well and it good to here i'm not alone but thats not what i'm posting about.

    Ok i'm in college going into my 4th year i have gone cert diploma degree route. I started off college 120 miles away from home due to low leaving cert points did my cert there. then i went to a college closer to home for my diploma (to save money) and i'm going back to the college i started in for a 1 year degree.

    The result of which leave's me with my problem. Ok so had a good group of friends at home, when i moved away i natural lost contact with them and made new friends in college. Then caught up with my friends at home over the summer. Same for the next year. Then my diploma year was when it started I totally lost contact with all my friends in the old college and my friends home where ok but not like before. This is only part of the problem in college my class for the diploma year had all their own clicks and never made any real friends partly my own fault see above, this lead to a sense in college and life in general, that i was just going through the motion get my dipolma ,pass the year, do my exams , go to odd class part keep up appearances. As i had little of social life out side college life became very boring. Now that its summer thing are still the same got a summer job and like i'm crossing off the days till my next objective do the degree, pass year, sit exams. The friend i was closest to at home has now moved away for the summer so my social circle is now down to friends of friends and friends that i have lost contact with.

    ok hope u get my point. i'm sick of going through the motion i wish i'd failed year of some thing just to stir it up a bit give me abit of space or something. At the moment i,m so bored in work social life is non existent. Wish a space ship would land anything!!

    Look around for a different summer job? Maybe try to get the social life in work started, it only ever takes one person to grab the bull by the horns and get people from work out drinking, done it in a few places myself (admittedly with quite varying degrees of success).

    September will be a fresh start to college again and in the first few weeks people are usually pretty open to striking up new friendships, so give it a go.
