no need for a new thread, put it in the one you already started? Your Pc will not run with pc2700 DDR 333MHZ effective ram as you have an 800MHZ FSB chip so you need ddr 400 giving you an effective 800MHZ FSB. If you're interested in overclocking you might want to consider some even faster ram, will you be overclocking?

http://www.shop4memory.com/products/ddr-ram.asp - anything there that suits your price will do nicely providing it's ddr400 pc3200 rated. I'd go for the OCZ/Geil/Mushkin/Corsair personally - The board supports dual channel ddr ram so make sure you get that too.

    ok the board supports:

a maximum of 4GB of PC2700/3200 DDR RAM (ECC included)

all i want is 512mb+ ram for between 100+150euro

please point me at the right one, cos i am a little lost now

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Yes will be fine if you plan not to overclock. The whole point in getting a Pentium 4 system is to overclock though. If you do plan to overclock, get PC4000 or better instead

If you don't intend to overclock, get an amd64 system...
