    i recently moved to germany, but i cant get my new german sim card to work in my old irish phone (which i brought over). i need some sort of code. could some one tell me where i could get this code? my old irish sim card was O2. ive no idea who to contact about this.

    hi, you can try and contact O2 support and ask them for the Unlock code to use your new SIM card in it since you have moved abroad... If you were a contract customer you can call: +353 61 203501 If you were Speakeasy (pre-pay) you can call: +353 61 203345

    Otherwise depending on the make/model you may be able generate the unlock code yourself (there are a few unlock threads on here you can search), or you may be able to use a service provided by a third party...

    ring o2. they'll give you an unlocking code if its your phone and you have spent more than the minimum amount (€100 or so) on credit.

    I don't have their customer service number handy but you might be able to find it in your irish sim or on their website.

    You don't say what kind of phone you are using. There is software available that will give you this code for Nokias, and some other phones.
